Best wishes to LGBTI+ communities during 2024 Mardi Gras Season

The Royal Commonwealth Society (ACT Branch) extends its congratulations and best wishes to LGBTI+ communities across the Commonwealth, not least during the 2024 Pride/Mardi Gras Season.

We recognise that many Commonwealth countries are grappling with the legacies of colonialism, including laws that entrench deep prejudice against LGBTI+ people. The RCS does not support those laws.

The lifeblood of the Commonwealth is unity in diversity and there is probably no time in world history that embracing diversity has been more important for future peace and prosperity.

We commend the recent post from RCS London about the difficulties and triumphs of being gay in another Commonwealth country, Mauritius (Click Here).
